Hey Gang,

How is everyone? It seems once again I owe you my sincerest of apologies for being off the map these months. But rest assured it is not because we’ve forgotten about you. Far from it in fact, as we’ve been working around the clock to get everything ready to bring you the biggest, bestest most baddass re-launch we can. We will probably only get one go at securing the future of Riese and it’s game time. So thanks for staying tuned.

I need to thank Chapter 2 co-writer Aly first and foremost for taking the helm as our new community manager. She’s been doing a bang-up job at keeping everyone informed through Twitter, Facebook and here on the forum and we are in her debt. We’ll be doing our best to get her as much info as possible as it’s happening so that she in turn can keep you all up to date. Also, we’re doing our best to stay at the forefront of online fan interactivity but nobody knows this ever changing world better than you guys so if you have any ideas on things you’d like to see during this hiatus, new ways to interact etc. we’re hungry for your suggestions. Send ‘em Aly’s way!

I also wanted to say just how impressed I was with the reaction to our fan art contest. It blows me away to see just how many creative folks we have in this community. And you need to know how much it touches us to see other people care about this project as much as we do. It’s been our whole lives for some time now and to see strangers support us like this is positively moving. So thank you. You guys are a skilled, talented and amazingly supportive community. We are so thankful for you all.

Okay. Now on to some updates!

As the director of Chapter 2, you have no idea how excited I am to share the new episodes with you in the fall. I promise to hang in there if you do! I’m especially stoked for you to meet a new (secret, surprise, terrifyingly scary) character played by Richard Harmon. You might remember him from Caprica as well as a slew of other Sci-fi shows and movies out of Vancouver. He’s a great guy and a skilled actor and his commitment to this character blew me away. I promise he alone will be worth the wait.

Coming up, we also have a lot of cool extras up our sleeves including the never before seen episodes, some really sweet behind the scenes featurettes and the iPhone game (which, by the way, is by far one of the most beautiful applications I have ever seen). Genius Factor has done an incredible job at creating something for you that will provide further fan interaction, and lives up to the quality you have come to expect from our team.

Also, though we can't say much about it currently, we have a big surprise in store for those who have seen the original Riese episodes. We'll tell you more soon!

Anyone going to Comic-con? Then keep a look out for us and come and say hi! The gang and I will be wearing our Riese t-shirts and if everything goes according to plan, have some exclusive new character collector buttons to give out. Aly and I are also securing plans to attend the Fan Expo in Toronto as well. More on that later

Thanks for the update on status. As someone who hasn't yet seen the series, I'm really looking forward to it premiering. Any new word on exactly when in the fall yet?
